Heavy Duty Field Technician (Wajax)

Wajax is hiring: Heavy Duty Field Technician, Red Deer, AB.

• Diagnoses, repairs and services heavy equipment, transmissions and gas and diesel engines, mostly at the customer’s site or on roadside calls, with some shop work
• Rebuilds and reconditions engine and hydraulic components as needed, and checks electrical systems (including energized components and generator transfer-switch tests) where a job calls for it
• Fills out work orders, service records and warranty paperwork, and works from the manufacturers’ online support
• Asks for a Red Seal journeyperson trade certificate and 2 to 3 years’ experience, plus mechanical aptitude and a customer-service mindset
• Full time; manufacturer and in-house training is part of the job and can fall outside regular hours; final candidates go through pre-screening
• Wajax lists a matched pension plan and health and dental coverage from day one, but gives no pay figure
