Teck Resources is hiring: Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyperson, Logan Lake, BC.
- Maintains and repairs mobile mining equipment at Highland Valley Copper: haul trucks (including autonomous CAT trucks), loaders, graders, dozers and shovels
- Troubleshoots faults and rebuilds engines, transmissions and cooling components
- Needs an Interprovincial Red Seal as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or Truck & Transport Mechanic and a valid driver’s licence; mining or heavy off-road experience is an asset but not required
- 4x4 rotation: two 12-hour days, a 24-hour turnaround, two 12-hour nights, then four days off
- Drive-in, drive-out: the site is about 50 minutes from Kamloops and most workers commute by car
- Pay is $56.61 an hour; benefits include a company-paid pension, and Teck offers up to $10,000 in relocation support for people from outside the Kamloops region
