Hudbay Minerals is hiring: Longhole Driller, Snow Lake, MB.
- Drills and blasts production holes underground at the Lalor Mine, a high-grade zinc, gold, copper and silver operation
- Runs air or electric-hydraulic longhole drills
- Asks for experience on electric-hydraulic longhole rigs (top hammer and ITH) and in blasting longhole stopes
- Seven days on, seven off, 11.5-hour shifts (Wednesday to Tuesday); not FIFO, so you get yourself to Snow Lake, then a fully equipped camp, a quarterly travel allowance (some restrictions) and transport to and from site are provided
- Base pay $41.54 an hour, plus an underground bonus that Hudbay says averages another $15 to $20 an hour; weekend premium $1.00 an hour and night premium $0.63 an hour
- Profit sharing, employer-paid health benefits from day one and an employer-funded defined benefit pension
