Bird Construction is hiring: Construction Equipment Mechanic, Winnipeg.

• Maintains, diagnoses and repairs construction tools and equipment at the Transcona yard: oil changes, blades and belts, cords and hoses, engine repairs and trailer wiring
• Daily yard inspections, testing, parts ordering, inventory and numbering of equipment
• Asks for 3 to 5 or more years as a mechanic on construction tools and equipment, including small engines, skid-steers and power tools, and troubleshooting of clutches, hydraulics and electrics
• Red Seal in a mechanical trade and welding experience are assets
• The posting gives no pay figure or schedule; it is full-time and reports to the equipment manager
• You must be able to lift 50 lb or more and have a vehicle to get to the yard
