Finning is hiring: Heavy Duty Mechanic, Powerhouse Maintenance, Nunavut.
- Operates and repairs Caterpillar generators at a mining client’s powerhouse: C175 engines, gensets, fuel systems, heat exchangers and PLC controls
- Asks for an interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician ticket and a valid driver’s licence with a clean recent abstract; C175 experience gets preference and a dual electrical ticket is an asset
- Pay is $66.33 an hour, based on a 5x2 schedule with daily overtime
- 12-hour days on 14-day sets; the client flies you in from Edmonton or Yellowknife and provides camp
- Travel allowance of up to $1,200 per rotation to reach the marshalling point
- Permanent and full-time; powerhouse or SCADA and Woodward controls experience is listed as an asset
