TransAlta is hiring: Wind Technician, Melancthon, Ontario.
- Maintenance, service and repair of wind turbine equipment, working with other technicians and contractors
- Routine and preventive work done on time and documented, under EHS and NERC rules
- Prefers 3 to 5 years of wind turbine experience and knowledge of GE turbines; an electrical or mechanical background is a strong asset, and equivalent experience is considered
- Pay is estimated at $75,000 to $95,000 base, with the top of the range reserved for exceptional experience; a bonus program and benefits are extra
- Full-time and salaried, based at the Melancthon wind site; the posting gives no rotation
- Safety sensitive, with pre-employment testing, possible background checks and a valid driver’s licence
