Cenovus Energy is hiring: Plant Operator, Edam East SAGD Facility, near North Battleford, SK.
- Operates a thermal plant with water treating, high-pressure steam generation, sour oil wells and oil treating; monitoring, troubleshooting, sampling and keeping logs, permits and volume balances
- Directs on-site maintenance contractors and trains and assesses new operators
- Asks for at least a 3rd Class Power Engineering certificate (2nd Class preferred) and 5 years in oil and gas, ideally SAGD
- The company gives no pay figure
- 12-hour days and nights, 7 on and 7 off (Wednesday to Tuesday), including weekends and holidays; the site is about 70 km from St. Walburg
- Safety-sensitive: pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol tests, a Class 5 licence and a driver’s abstract; applications close November 11
