FortisBC is hiring: Pipeline Technician 2, Kamloops, BC.
- Field work on the gas transmission system: excavations, coating repairs, right-of-way clearing and markers, line locating, patrols, blow-downs, pigging runs and emergency response
- Asks for a Distribution Mechanic ticket or 3 years of natural gas construction field experience, a Class 5 licence, mechanical aptitude and experience around heavy equipment
- $45.58 an hour; full-time regular, IBEW, eligible for a short-term incentive
- Standby, on-call and overtime as needed, and travel away from home for extended periods
- Physically demanding; must be clean-shaven for respirator fit and meet the role’s residency requirement
