Capital Power is hiring: Plant Technician, Windsor, ON.
- Operates, maintains and troubleshoots the East Windsor Cogeneration Centre: turbines, generators, compressors, pumps, electrical distribution, instrumentation and controls
- Does equipment rounds, issues work permits, plans maintenance and manages contractors on site, plus groundskeeping and snow removal around the plant
- Asks for one journey ticket (instrumentation, industrial electrician, millwright, 2nd Class operating engineer or G1 fuel technician) and 5+ years in a cogen, combined or simple cycle plant
- $53.66 to $64.50 an hour; PWU union position
- 12-hour rotating shifts with call-ins; lifting up to 50 lb and some work with hazardous materials
- Safety-sensitive: pre-employment drug and alcohol test and medical, plus education, reference and criminal record checks
