Plant Operator, Spruce Lake (Cenovus Energy)

Cenovus Energy is hiring: Plant Operator, Spruce Lake (near St. Walburg), SK.

• Operates and troubleshoots the Spruce Lake Central and North thermal plants, about 15 km from St. Walburg, and keeps logs, volume balances and work permits
• Asks for at least a 3rd Class Power Engineering certificate (2nd Class, or good progress toward it, is preferred) and 5 years in oil and gas, ideally SAGD
• Steam generation, control panel and oil processing experience counts as an asset
• 12-hour days and nights, 7 on and 7 off, Wednesday to Tuesday, including weekends and holidays; you must live in the area
• Safety-sensitive: a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test, a Class 5 licence and a driver’s abstract
• Cenovus gives no pay figure; applications close at 11:59 p.m. MT on November 1, 2026
