Operations and Maintenance Site Technician (TC Energy)

TC Energy is hiring: Operations and Maintenance Site Technician, Grande Prairie, AB.

• Supports day-to-day running and maintenance of the Bear Creek Cogeneration Plant, working alongside the site host: gas turbine, generator, steam generators, feedwater, fuel gas, electrical and controls
• Plans and does preventive maintenance, brings in OEM vendors and contractors for repairs, and helps scope and run the annual outage
• Asks for a Red Seal mechanical, electrical or instrumentation trade (a Power Engineering or technologist diploma is also considered) and 5 years in a power, cogeneration or process plant
• DCS or PLC work, industrial gas turbines and SAP experience are preferred
• Responds to 24-hour call-outs, works after hours and weekends as needed, and travels to other sites for outages and training
• Safety-sensitive: a pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol testing and a driver’s abstract; TC Energy gives no pay figure
