Gas Compression Field Technician (Finning)

Finning is hiring: Gas Compression Field Technician, Fort St. John, BC.

• Troubleshoots and repairs Caterpillar gas and diesel engines in the field and the shop: running repairs, large overhauls and rebuilds, and component replacements
• Asks for a journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician ticket (millwright and automotive also accepted), at least 2 years as a journeyperson, and 2 years on gas engines and compressors
• Cat G3600 experience is listed as essential, along with 2 years running a service truck
• Base pay is $54.79 to $60.88 an hour plus premiums, on a 14x14 continuous rotation (5x2 for locals)
• Finning supplies accommodation and a tooled truck and pays up to $1,000 in travel to get to the Fort St. John area
• Union position; site access may require drug and alcohol and fitness testing. The posting lists seven openings
