• Runs and monitors process units at a thermal heavy oil (SAGD) site, spots abnormal conditions and fixes them
• Gets equipment ready for maintenance (isolation, hand-over, safety checks), does field inspections and lockout/tagout, keeps the e-log and operating reports, and helps with start-ups and commissioning
• Full-time employee job on a shift rotation (the pattern isn’t stated); every oil sands site has a full-service camp, with flights from Calgary and Edmonton and a bus from La Corey for Foster Creek
