TransAlta is hiring: Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic, Wabamun, AB.
- Maintains, installs and repairs equipment across the Highvale Mine (SunHills) site, about 65 km west of Edmonton
- Asks for a journeyperson Heavy Duty Technician certificate (the 4-year off-road ticket) and basic computer skills
- Farm equipment experience is preferred
- A Class 5 licence is mandatory; Class 1 is an asset
- Covered by the IBEW Local 254 collective agreement; reports to the shop foreman
- TransAlta gives no pay figure but lists a matched pension, flexible health benefits and a wellness allowance
