What to know before you bid:

  • Scope: 9.1 km of double seal coat surfacing on Grid 676, built on a conventional design structure. SaskTenders lists the contract duration as one month.
  • Approximate quantities as published: 90,000 tonnes of modified Type 6 subbase, 75,000 tonnes of Type 33 granular base, 1,000 m³ of earth excavation and disposal, 120 tonnes of bituminous prime coat and 180,000 m² of double seal coat.
  • The RM supplies the aggregate, and the oil for the seal coat.
  • Each tender goes on the RM’s forms with a certified cheque or bid bond of at least 5% of the tender amount, valid for 60 days. The RM can reject any or all tenders and does not have to take the lowest.
  • The tender package is a PDF from Resource Management International for a non-refundable $120; the notice gives a phone number to request it. No site meeting is mentioned.
