What to know before you bid:

  • Scope: supply and install pre-insulated steel pipe, leak detection systems and communication conduits, then test and commission them. Roadway, landscaping and site restoration are included.
  • The contractor also relocates, stores, installs and commissions an owner-supplied temporary energy centre (TEC), including the site servicing for it.
  • Written on the MMCD 2019 Edition with the City’s 2024 supplementary conditions. No quantities, estimate, site meeting or bid security are listed on the City’s page.
  • Bid documents download free from BC Bid without registration. Addenda 1 (September 29) and 2 (October 2) were already out, so check BC Bid regularly.
  • Deliver a sealed package marked “Tenders for 5525-001-11, District Energy System Expansion Phase 11” to the main reception desk on the first floor of Surrey City Hall, 13450-104 Avenue.
