Suncor Energy is hiring: Instrumentation Technician (Journeyperson), Fort McMurray, AB.
- Hands-on maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of pressure, temperature, level and flow instrumentation and controls at the Base Plant
- Six-on/six-off rotation of 12-hour shifts (three days, three nights, then six off)
- Needs an Alberta Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation ticket (attach it to the application) plus two years as a journeyperson in a large industrial site
- Comfortable reading P&IDs and loop drawings; heavy lifting, ladders and elevated work such as scaffolds and towers are part of the job
- Must live within 60 km of Fort McMurray; Suncor lists pay as competitive with regional uplifts, bonuses and pension but gives no figure
