HSE Coordinator - Buildings West (Bird Construction)

Bird Construction is hiring: HSE Coordinator - Buildings West, Cold Lake, AB.

• Works on site, running safety orientations for new workers and visitors and training Bird crews
• Inspects site safety equipment, checks that equipment and workers are competent for the task, and walks the site often to catch and document hazards
• Handles incident reporting and investigations, writes site-specific safe work procedures, and reviews new trades as they arrive on site
• Works with the trade partners’ safety people, and has the right to stop unsafe work
• Asks for 5 or more years in health and safety, strong knowledge of commercial construction and a Class 5 licence with a clean abstract; NCSO and CRST/P (or working toward it) are preferred
• Full time; no pay figure stated
