Control Room Operator (Capital Power)

Capital Power is hiring: Control Room Operator, Harquahala Generating Station, Maricopa County, AZ.

• Leads a three-person shift team running the plant from the control room, directing the power block and water treatment operators
• Runs gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, emissions monitoring and electrical systems; issues LOTO, confined space and hot work permits
• 12-hour rotating shifts with some overtime coverage; position is covered by an IBEW 769 agreement
• High school diploma required; power plant operator experience wanted, combined-cycle control room experience highly desirable, Siemens units a plus
• Safety-sensitive (pre-employment drug test); must be eligible to work in the US; no pay figure stated
