US 34 bridge replacement over Metz Creek, Adams County

Replace a 110 ft by 44 ft concrete slab bridge on US 34 over Metz Creek, west of the IA 25 junction.

  • Scope: build a new continuous concrete slab bridge, with steel H-piles, roadway and paving work, guardrail, subdrain, revetment and topsoil restoration.
  • Quantities include about 1,700 CY of Class 10 excavation, 423 CY modified subbase, 1,243 tons revetment and 391 CY structural concrete.
  • 120 working days, late start date April 19, 2027. No DBE goal. Proposal guaranty is $125,000.
  • Federal-aid project on a US route; Iowa DOT does not publish an estimate range in the notice.
